Scientific Committiees
The scientific committees operating at the Poznań Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences integrate the scientific and academic community, involving specialists from various fields in their work. They are generally representatives of universities and scientific institutions in the region. It is worth noting, however, that some committees have a supra-regional composition. The committees are appointed by the Branch Presidium for a four-year term. In the current term, there are 20 committees operating at the Branch, with over 600 people working in them. Their main activities include organizing regional or national conferences and scientific sessions with the participation of foreign guests, as well as publishing and expert activities. Since October 2019, representatives of scientific committees have been involved in the organization of regular open lectures entitled “Science and Society,” conducted by the Poznań Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
