Poznański Festiwal Nauki i Sztuki 2025 w Pałacu Działyńskich.
On 9 April 2025, the Działyński Palace in Poznań hosted the 28th edition of the Poznań Science Festival, an event aimed at promoting science among primary and secondary school students. During the festival, participants could take part in lectures, presentations, workshops and meetings with scientists representing various fields of knowledge – from natural and technical sciences to humanities and social sciences.
Organization
The workshops were prepared by the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) institutions operating within the Branch’s area:
- The Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań
- The Institute of Plant Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań
- The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań
- The Institute of Molecular Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań
- The Institute of Dendrology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kórnik
- Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Centre affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences
- Kórnik Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences
Inauguration
The festival was preceded by a ceremonial inauguration, which took place on 7 April 2025 in the Red Hall of the Działyński Palace. The opening event was attended by representatives of the academic community, scientific institutions and invited guests. The inauguration was accompanied by an opening lecture and a discussion on the role of science in the modern world.
The project was co-financed from the state budget, allocated by the Minister of Science as part of the ‘Social Responsibility of Science II’ programme.
